Water is supplied by three vvells plus 100.000 Rallons ot <br />storage capacity, and 828 of the residents are connected to the public water system. <br />There are 1,668 connections to the sanitary sewer system and sewer treatment service is <br />provided by the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission. Because of the rolling terrain, <br />it is necessary for the City to maintain over .15 sanitary sewer lift stations. <br />The City has ten parks totaling 45 acres including three swimming beaches. Fire <br />■‘rotection is provided by four other communities and the Cits contracts with thr <br />communities for police protection and other assorted services <br />The Post Hon <br />areThe position is appointed bv the five-member Council. Four of the Councilmembcrs ar <br />elected to four-year terms and the Mayor is elected to a two-year term The position is <br />responsible for supervising 40 full-time em[>loyees and managing a gereral fund budget <br />ofS3.2 million. <br />Specific duties include: <br />Supervising and directing the administrative affairs of the City, all departments <br />and contractors. <br />•Advise the Council regarding the policies, affairs, financial conditions, and needs <br />of the City. <br />•Recommend an annual budget to the Council <br />*Carry out the policies, budgets, and directives of the C ouncil including any <br />purchasing functions. <br />Administer the personnel program of the City. <br />Preserve the public peace, health, and safety of persons and property and see to the <br />enforcement of the ordinances of the City and general law. <br />Perform such other functions and have such powers as may be estaolished by law, <br />ordinance, or resolution of the Council or as agreed to by the Administrator and <br />the Council. <br />Background/Experience <br />Requires a B.A. Degree in Public or Business Administration plus a minimum of 5-7 <br />years experience in a responsible management position. Particular areas of expertise <br />should include public works, public safety, parks maintenance, and land use <br />development.
