Interim Use Ordinance <br />October 8,1998 <br />Page 2 <br />The "General Standards" section (Subd. 3) has been reworded to match the format of the statute <br />language. Item F regarding 'no adverse effects on the public health, safety and welfare’ is not in the <br />statute but staff feels it is appropriate language to add here <br />As noted previously, staff is hesitant to create a list of allowable in'iOrim uses; however, additional <br />general performance standards could be added under Subd. 3 (General Standards) if Council so <br />chooses, to minimize or eliminate specific unwanted types of activity. This would give staff and <br />property owners a better sense of the nature of interim uses Council may or may not approve. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Review the revised applicability criteria, and direct staff how to proceed regarding the Interim Use <br />ordinance.
