Dakota County HRA Housinij Plan Authority. §§ 17-40—17-44 <br />ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL <br />Sec. 17-1. City planning commission—Established. <br />A city planning commission is hereby reestablished. The <br />planning commission shall be the city planning agency. <br />(Ord. No. 142. § 3. 2-25-74) <br />Sec. 17-2. Same—.Members. <br />(a) Number The planning commission shall consist ol <br />seven (7) members to be appointed by the city council. <br />(b) Terms. Members of the planning commission and their <br />successors shall serve terms of three (3) years, except that ol <br />the first seven l7) members appointed following enactment <br />of this section, three (3) shall be appointed for three-year <br />terms, two (2) for two-year terms and two (2) for a one-year <br />term. .Appointees shall hold their offices through March 1 of <br />the year of expiration of their term or until their successors <br />are appointed and qualified, whichever is later. <br />(c) Removal. .Members may be removed by the council <br />without cause. <br />id) Vacancies. Vacancies during the term shall be tilled <br />by the council for the unexpired portion of the term. <br />(e) Oath. Every appointed member shall, before entering <br />upon the discharge of his (her) duties, take a . oath that he <br />(she) will faithfully discharge the duties of the office. <br />(f) Compensation. .All members shall serve without <br />compensation; however, they shall be reimbursed for all <br />'Cross references — Zoning.
