No. 252. 1-22-81) <br />Sec. 17*3. Same—Organization, meetings, etc. <br />(a) The planning commission shall elect a presiding <br />nlficer and a secretary from among its appointed members <br />lor a term ot‘ one year: and the commission may create and <br />till such other offices as it may determine. <br />(b) The planning commission shall hold at least one <br />regular meeting each month. It shall adopt such rules for <br />the transaction of business as it deems appropriate and <br />shall keep a record of its resolutions, transactions and <br />findings, which record shall be a public record. On or before <br />January first of each year, the commission shall submit to <br />the council a report of its work during the preceding year. <br />Expenditures of the commission shall be within amounts <br />appropriated for the purpose by the council. (Ord. No. 142, § <br />5. 2-25-74) <br />Sec. 17-4. Same—Powers and duties. <br />The planning commission shall be the planning agency <br />and shall have the powers and duties given such agencies <br />generally by Minnesota Statutes, sections 462.351 through <br />462.364. as amended. It shall also exercise the duties <br />conferred upon it by this chapter. (Ord. No. 142. § 6, <br />2-25-74) <br />Sec. 17-5. Official map—Purpose: adopted by reference. <br />(a) Purpose.
