§ 2-59 Cottage Grove City Code § 2-76 <br />9 <br />Sec. 2-59. Planning commission. <br />^ ^ i jg * <br />The purpose and duties of the planning commission sh^l t>e those vested <br />in it by the statutes of the state and other ordinances of the city. (Ord. No . <br />222. S 1.) <br />Sec. 2-60. Public safety, health and welfare commission,. <br />The purpose and duties of the commission shall be to: <br />(a) Study and recommend to the city council the needs for police pro <br />tection and fire protection and also to recommend the utilization of <br />lities and future facilities which may be created from time to time Py ‘Jj® cUy <br />council. The public safety commission shall have the duty to <br />cedures, as referred to them by the city council. Such re^mmendations shall <br />then be acted upon within a reasonable length of time by the city council . <br />(b) Study and make recommendations to the council on applications for <br />special use permits and the renewal thereof, which permits relate to police^^^ <br />fire protection and proposed changes or additions to police and fire ordinances. <br />(c) Initiate studies on matters within the authority of the commission <br />with written reports thereon . <br />(d) Study such other matters as may be directed by t. city council <br />and report thereon . (Ord. No. 222, § 1.) <br />Sec. 2-61. Public works commission. <br />It shall be the duty of the public works commission to study and recom <br />mend to the city council the needed and necessary public works equipment and <br />facilities, the needed and necessary public utilities in the city . and <br />ommend the utilization of present and future facilities <br />time to time by the city council. Such recommendation shall be acted upon with <br />in a reasonable length of time by the council . (Ord. No . 222, s i.) <br />Secs . 2-62 to 2-75.1. Repealed by Ordinance No. 222, § 1. <br />Article V. Unclaimed and Abandoned Property^ <br />Sec. 2-76. Disposal generally. <br />All property lawfully coming into the possession of the city and unclaimed <br />by its owner shall be disposed of as follows: <br />(1) The department of the city into whose possession property comes <br />shall arrange for storage of the same. If municipal facilities for storage are <br />unavailable or inadequate , arrangements for storage at privately owned facili <br />ties may be arranged . <br />I <br />28-30 Supp. #4, 6-76
