Setbacks *■ Lakeshore <br />a.No structures or accessory facilities including <br />water oriented structures or facilities and decks <br />may be placed, nor grading or filling allowed <br />within: <br />0'>75* of the shoreland (both lake and river) <br />0-26* of the wetlands <br />0-30' of bluff impact zones. <br />b.Average Setback - No principal or accessory <br />structure shall be located closer to the lakeshore <br />than the average distance from the shoreline of <br />existing residential buildings or adjacent lots <br />(refer to Orono's Manual of Design Standards and <br />Specifications). <br />c. <br />2. <br />3. <br />Exceptions to subsection a) and b) of this section <br />all of which require a building permit prior to <br />construction include: <br />1. Stairways not over 4* in width. <br />Lifts not over 4* in width. <br />Landings not over4* in width and 32 s.f. <br />•in area. <br />Combinations of the above. <br />Docks which do not have more than 16? <br />32? square feet landward of the Ordinary <br />High Mater Mark/reference elevation of <br />that water body of course. <br />A lock box not in excess of 20 square <br />feet and 48 inches in height is allowed <br />on lakeshore lots divided from the <br />principal structure by a major <br />thoroughfare. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />2. Lot Width. <br />Lot width for shoreland purposes shall be the shortest <br />distance between the two side lot lines both at the <br />shoreline and at the required lakeshore setback line <br />(or parallel to the shoreline at the shoreline and at <br />the required lake setback line or at a line <br />perpendicular to the side lot lines at both the <br />shoreline and required lakehsore setback line).
