Director Resignation: Cochran reported receipt of a <br />letter of resignation from John Haiinka (Victoria) and the seat <br />was declared open. The City has publicly invited Lntereslcd <br />candidates to apply. An appointment is expected lu -.‘ajmary <br />B. Director Replacement: John Lewman iMinnetrista) <br />reported the City of Minnetrista has a policy that i(.s <br />representative is to be a member of the City Council. He will <br />serve until his replacement is appointed in January. <br />Grathwol moved. Rascop seconded, adoption of a Resolution of <br />Appreciation to be directed to John Lewman and John Malinka for <br />their services on the LMCD Board and acknowledgment be made at <br />the “Save the Lake" recognition dinner on Thursday. February 21. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. LMCD Open House: The Executive Director reported an <br />Open House will be held at t.'ie new LMCD offices. Ncrwest Bank <br />Building, 900 East Waysata Bivd.. Suite 160. on Tuesday. <br />December 18 from noon to 6 p.m. Invitations will be .sent to <br />various agencies, the cities, department heads, and per.3onr.ei. <br />Refreshments suitable to the occasion will be served. The <br />purpose is to offer an opportunity to interested p.artie.s to meet <br />the LMCD personnel and become familiar with the new location <br />The Executive Director expressed appreciation to Lewman <br />his assistance in obtaining the new offices. <br />for <br />6. Comflii.ttee Reports <br />A. ADVISORY, Chair Rascop <br />Rascop tamed the discussion over to David Arndorler. <br />1. Final Draft Status Report. Arndorfer reported the <br />final draft of the Management Plan has been forwarded to the <br />Metropolitan Council. The Council has 12U days in which to <br />comment. It is expected to do so in less time. In the meantime. <br />Arndorfer stated, the monitoring program from Febru.r<ry and March <br />of 1989 needs to be fina^. 2:- * In addition, the 1988/1989 summer <br />recreational monitoring rco .’.res review. Included is a winter <br />monitoring report from 1989/9}. <br />Reese asked about disposition of worksheets created during <br />the decision making process. Arndorfer said they are not <br />retained. The Plan includes the comments from the cities. Items <br />such as the public access compilation is available and should be <br />updated on an on-going basis. <br />Arndorfer requested a reduction of the remaining Sl-J <br />retalnage on his contract to $5,UUU. Barr Engineering <br />receive $4,000.
