w <br />I <br />•i. <br />I'i' r . <br />k- <br />Verbal harassment or abuse of a sexual nature: <br />Pressure for sexual activity! <br />Repeated remarks with sexual or demeaning implicationsr <br />Unwelcome touching; or <br />- Suggestions or demands for sexual involvement accompanied <br />by implied or explicit threats concerning one's job. <br />Protection from harassment in the course of employment is provided <br />in the following categories; <br />Harassment by supervisors or persons with management <br />authoritv; <br />- Harassment from peers or co-workers: and <br />Harassment by wav of a sexually degrading work <br />environment♦ <br />5. No person or employee shall, in any manner, solicit or be in <br />an manner concerned with soliciting, an assessment, subscription <br />or contribution for any person or purpose, or permit an outside <br />party to in any manner solicit from any City employee on City <br />property or on City time without City Administrator's approval. <br />214, POLITICAL ACTIVITY <br />1. Any employee subject to these rules who desires to file for <br />an elective office of the City shall take a leave of absence when <br />the employee formally announces candidacy or files, which ever <br />occurs first. Such leave shall terminate upon withdrawal or <br />defeat in the campaign. If elected and sworn-in the person is <br />automatically terminated from their position unless such a <br />position is part-time or temporary, averages less than 10 hours <br />per week, does not create a conflict of interest and has approval <br />of the City Council. <br />2. Employees are prohibited from actively campaigning for or <br />against any candidate seeking an elective public office of the- <br />City. <br />215.?l fMENT OF RELATED PERSONS <br />Employment with the City including volunteer work is based on <br />merit principles. Therefore, the employment or volunteer service <br />of related persons (spouses, parents, children, brothers and <br />sisters) shall not be approved except by the City Administrator <br />and City Council. In those cases where related persons are <br />employed by the City or serving in a volunteer capacity, they <br />shall not be assigned to the same department or be in a position <br />in which one is in a supervisory capacity over the other's work <br />activity. <br />21C. CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br />It is expected that every employee shall exercise good <br />8 <br />fete;'
