The City of Orono is an Equal Opportunity Employer <br />• Support Installs and maintains security systems including, doors, cameras, parking lot <br />lighting and other electronic security systems. <br />• Support Installs and maintains audio visual systems in the Council Chambers and EOC <br />including ensuring equipment is in working order prior to meetings. <br />• Support Installs and maintains remotes systems including golf course, water plant, fuel <br />system, SCADA, Mound substation and other locations using city owned equipment. <br />o Runs monthly fuel system reports. <br />• Provide/Coordinate end user training. <br />• Research, recommend, and order hardware and software. <br />• Setup user accounts on domain including email, contacts, rights/permissions and remote <br />access as needed. <br />• Uninstall and data wipe technology no longer in service. <br />• Ensure data/network security through compliance with LOGIS security policy, <br />performance of periodic security scans, software patching and deployment for servers and <br />clients, website filtering, email scanning and data backup. <br />• Support law enforcement video IT systems including: squad computers and cameras, <br />weapon and body cam video systems. <br />• Redact public safety videos. <br />• Maintain Police property room hardware/software, remote connections, IP phone system, <br />and computer hardware/software inventory. <br /> <br />Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities <br />Knowledge: <br />• Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer <br />hardware and software, including applications, programming, networks and security and <br />file rights. <br />• Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing <br />customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting <br />quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. <br />• English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language <br />including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. <br /> <br />Skills: <br />• Reading Comprehension — Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related <br />documents. <br />• Active Listening — Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to <br />understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at <br />inappropriate times. <br />• Critical Thinking — Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of <br />alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Able to prioritize problems <br />by level of need. <br />• Complex Problem Solving — Identify complex problems and reviewing related <br />information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. <br />• Monitoring — Monitor/Assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or <br />organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. <br />84
