Gerhardson, Public Works Director <br />November 5, 1992 <br />County Road 42 (Old Highway 12) Turnback <br />% <br />As part of a Highway Turnback Program several years ago, old <br />Highway 12 - Wayzata Boulevard was turned back to He.mepin County <br />which is now County "oad 42. <br />Old Highway 12 (now County Road 42) runs from new Highway 12 <br />on the eastern border of Orono easterly past Myrtlewood Road, <br />Wayzata Country Club, etc. to Highway 101. All that part of <br />County Road 42 will be turned back to the City of Wayzata except <br />0.08 miles (400+ feet) which is in Orono (see attached map). <br />As part of the Turnback Program, the City of Orono should <br />accept the jurisdiction of that part of old Highway 12. The road <br />is in good condition and has received a bituminous overlay <br />recently. Staff can work out the details of maintenance with the <br />City of Wayzata. <br />It is necessary to accept this portion of roadway by <br />resolution, therefore I have prepared one for Council review and <br />approval. <br />Isv
