MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD AUGUST 10, 1992 <br />CITY CLEAN-UP & YARDWASTE - CONT. <br />Moorse noted that the biggest problem is the large amount of brush <br />coliected. <br />Gerhardson noted that the City does receive some subsidy from <br />Hennepin County for the leaves and grass collection. He added the <br />brush disposal is costing the City the most. <br />Callahan noted this proposal inserts the need for a cash register <br />on site during coiiection. He suggested an additional amount be <br />added to the utility billing for all residents. <br />Jabbour suggested a coupon book. <br />Gerhardson noted they will submit additionai recommendations for <br />the upcoming year. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Goetten, to approve the <br />proposed recommendations for fees to bt charged for users of the <br />yardwaste program, with the exclusion of <’ees for leaves and grass, <br />and to approve the yardwaste program schedule. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />(«#15) BID AWARD STUBBS BAY SEWER IMPROVEMENT BONDS - <br />RESOLUTION #3151 <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Callahan, to adopt Resolution <br />•3151 awarding the sale of $2,000,000 General Obligation Sewer <br />Improvement Bonds, Series 1992, fixing the form and specifications <br />thereof, providing for their execution and delivery, and providing <br />for their payment. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />(#16) CITY ASSESSOR’S CONTRACT RENEWAL <br />Moorse explained that the City Assessor Is asking for a 3.3X <br />increase. <br />Callahan felt that 2% was too much of an increase. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to approve the <br />contract renewal for the City Assessor as proposed. Ayes 2, nays <br />2. Callahan and Jabbour voted nay. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded Miiyor Peterson, to approve the <br />contract renewal for the City Assessor, with an <br />$69,800.
