LMCD Board of Directors December 4, 1991 <br />3. LAKE USE COMMITTEE, Chair Pillsbury <br />A Minutes. Piliibury moved. Foster seconded, approval <br />the minutes of 11/25/91 meeting as submitted. Motion carried <br />Public Comment: <br />Meloche reviewed the street car boat history from 190b - <br />1926 The Minnehaha was lifted from the bottom ot the Lake in <br />1980; The MTM took title to it. The objective of the <br />is to put it into public passenger service on Lake Minnetonka^ <br />It would travel around the Lake. It will have a steam <br />similar to the original. The restoration site is 140 George <br />Street. Excelsior. The public is invited to view the work on <br />Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings. , ^ <br />The plan is to test-launch the boat hull in the Spring of <br />1994 and then return it for installation of the superstructure. <br />The formal launching is scheduled for .. „tm i.. <br />To help finance the estimated $250,000 cost the^ MTM i <br />selling painting reproductions of the Minnehaha by Kurt <br />Hurr moved. Foster seconded, to <br />for $219 95 as a donation from the Save the Lake Fund, the <br />picture to hang in the LMCD offices. Motion carried. <br />^ At the suggestion of Foster, consideration of an additional <br />donation from the Save the Lake Fund was referred back to the <br />committee. Hurr would like more information about funding <br />specific items needed for the restoration. <br />B. Special Event Renewal Application - Lord Fletcher’s <br />Broomball. <br />Pillsbury moved, Bosuinkel seconded, to approve a special <br />event renewal for Lord Fletcher’s Broomball. the old fee schedule <br />tr ap^? for 1991-1992 as a result of receiving the application <br />prior to the fee schedule change. Motion carried. <br />C. Joint and Cooperative Agreement with Hennepin County for <br />SLoriff* a Water Patrol 1992 Services. <br />Pillsbury moved.
