Zoning Administrator <br />City of Orono <br />2780 Kelley Parkway <br />Orono, MN 55391 <br />RE: #1803 Subdivision at 200 Woodhill Road <br />by Woodhill Country Club <br />Dear Jeanne: <br />I am unable to attend the Planning Commission <br />hearing on February 16th but wish to make comments <br />in writing. <br />Mr. McNellis sent me a copy of his letter to you. <br />His letter accurately describes the condition of <br />what is considered a private driveway to service <br />the existing homes and proposed homesite. The <br />driveway is inadequate for the present traffic. <br />In support of that statement, I enclose pictures <br />of the driveway after Tonstruction of the McNellis <br />house. <br />You should also know that the driveway presently <br />serves more than two homes. My property has a <br />large caretakers home, which equals a third user. <br />The home of Tom Carpenter abuts the driveway and <br />has a paved access to it, which equals a forth <br />potential user. The proposed homesite would be a <br />fourth active user and potentially a fifth if you <br />consider the Carpenter's access. <br />Woodhill's application should not be approved unless <br />there is a commitment made by Woodhill to comply <br />with e.xisting Orono regulations for driveway <br />requirements under the usage load we know now. <br />Sincerely <br />i
