Policy Committee Meetings <br />The first meeting of 1993 NLC policy committees will take place on <br />Saturday, March 6, from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. City officials interested <br />in serving, or continuing to serve, on these coomittees should <br />contact Ann Higgins as soon as possible. (SEE LIST OF CURRENT <br />MEMBERS BELOW.) By the end of January, LMC President Larry Bakken <br />will be appointing city officials to serve on each of the five NLC <br />policy committees for the coming year. Policy coomittees will be <br />establishing priorities for policy development at meetings in March. <br />(Minnesota city officials interested in serving on NLC steering <br />committees have already submitted applications. Those appointments <br />are made by ccomittee chairs. Steering committees examine issues and <br />develop policy recommendations for review by policy committee members <br />and adoption at the NLC Congress of Cities, held at the close of the <br />year (December 2-5, in Orlando, Florida).
