|R': <br />r- <br />% <br />Site Location <br />The Orono Hockey Boosten hive long believed that the most dctirable <br />locatiOD for lo Indoor tee arena would be a fite on or near the Orono <br />School District campus. <br />After approximately two years of work, a promising site has been identified <br />adjacent to the Orono High School, at the southeast comer of County Road 6 <br />and Old Ciystal Bay Road. <br />By locating an arena on the Orono School campus, the following objectives <br />will be accomplished: <br />The arena use will be locii*ed in Orono in its most logical place—adjacent <br />to the educational and recreational uses of the Orono schools; <br />The school campus will continue to be the single focal point of community <br />sports and recreation activities in Orono. both outdoor and indoor; <br />• The arena will be centrally located in the Orono community, with <br />convenient access; <br />The Orono High School teams—both boys and girls—will no longer be <br />driving to after school practices and games. <br />SITE Of PROPOSED <br />ta ARENA <br />Orono Ice Arena <br />: <br />j
