A new Spring Park Police Serv'ice Policy ensures that the Spring Park <br />officers focus their efforts on providing a continuous police presence in Spring Park. <br />Police Department Capabilities <br />The City of Orono and the Orono Police Department have the staff, equipment, and <br />facilities to provide top quality police services and to ensure our responsiveness to Spring Park’s <br />needs and concerns. The following list highlights a number of the strengths of the Police <br />Department. <br />•The Orono police officers have served Spring Park for over twelve years and they <br />are very familiar with the people, problems, businesses, and geography of your <br />community. <br />•Our investigator is very familiar with Spring Park having worked there many <br />years as a patrol officer. <br />•The Orono police officers receive annual First Aid training and have all been <br />trained in the operation of the department’s two Heart-Start defibrillator units. <br />One of these units is always assigned to the City of Spring Park. <br />•The Police Department has a seventeen member police reserve unit to provide <br />extra service during natural disasters or emergencies such as major accidents or <br />fires. <br />The Police Department has four highly qualified part time officers who are <br />I i <br />I
