Removing it uill lessen the trips onto and off of North Shore Drive. <br />It is the only three-family cul-de-sac whose removal is supponed by all three <br />owners dnd the tw*o affected neighbors. <br />It is the only three-family cul-de-sac along North Shore Drive where the norm <br />is single and double private driveways. <br />It is the only three-family cul-de-sac that the City has talked about removing for <br />almost 20 years. <br />It will remove several thousand square feet of hardcover and lessen the runoff <br />of salts and oil from the street into the marsh and the lake. <br />It will save the City the cost of maintaining the existing street. <br />It will reduce the number of car trips to and from Scotch Pine by lost people, <br />It will reduce the casual driver from turning down the street looking tor access <br />to the lake. <br />It will make the area safer for children. <br />It will increa.se security to the existing homes. <br />It will improve the aesthetic view from the lake <br />Staff Recomm' tdaiirm <br />The Citv Enuineer has recommended that the proposal be denied, but also noted a number of <br />and utility easement issues, all which have been addressed bv the applicants. <br />support of the proposal. <br />rStr-
