MINUTES <br />NORTH TONKA CRIME PREVENTIOH COALITION <br />April 12, 1995 <br />1. CALL TO ORDER. <br />President Berg called the neeting to order at approxinately <br />5:00 p.n. at the State Bank of Long Lake. Present: Alexander, <br />Also present was Officer Mark Thornton. <br />2. MINUTES. <br />Without objection or ar.endnent, the rainutes of March 8, 1995, <br />were placed on file. <br />3. TREASURER'S REPORT. <br />Byrne reported a balance of $3,523.22. <br />4. BOARD MEMBERSHIP. <br />Joanna Widiaer was introduced. She is the manager of the <br />Spring Park branch of Marquette Bank and the Spring Park <br />representative on the Retail Council. ^ <br />Peterson, seconded by Byrne, Widner was elected to the Board of <br />Directors. <br />Berg reported receiving a letter of resignation from Williains. <br />Upon a notion by Byrne, seconded by B. Peterson, her resignation <br />was accepted with regret. <br />5.NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH. <br />Andersen reported that he had given a copy of the article from <br />the Orono city newsletter to the Laker/Pioneer newspaper. It will <br />appear in the next issue along with a picture of him and the <br />Neighborhood Watch and Dock Watch signs. <br />He said the McGruff coloring books had been very popular, and <br />more are needed. <br />5.PUBLIC RELATIONS/NEWSLETTER <br />written byBoard nenbers commented on the good article <br />Alexander that was in the Orono city newsletter. <br />Board rembers discussed whether the Coalition should attempt <br />to publish a newsletter. Byrne stated that he thought more was <br />accomplished by periodic articles and that creating a newsletter
