JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />This aareement made the day of May, 1995, between the city of Orono, <br />Minnesota, herein after referred to Orono, and the city of Long Lake, Minnesota, herein after <br />referred to as Long Lake pursuant to Minnesota Stanite Sections 471.59 and 459.20. <br />1.General Purpose. <br />The general purpose of this agreement is to regulate personal watercraft on Long <br />Lake for the safety and general welfare of the public utilizing the lake. <br />Methods. <br />The cities of Orono and Long Lake may hereafter adopt such ordinances and <br />regulations as they deem fit to implement the general purposes referred to herein. <br />Any such ordinance adopted by the cities of Orono and Long Lake shall be <br />identical so as to provide uniformity in enforcement and regulation. <br />m.Notification. <br />The cities of Orono and Long Lake shall be responsible for providing notification <br />to the public. The city of Long Lake shall place a sign at its public watercraft <br />launching facility outlining essential elements of the ordinance. <br />IV.
