A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTIONS 10.24, SUBDIVISION 5 (B), <br />10.03, SUBDIVISION 14 (C), 10.22, SUBDIVISION (2) <br />AND 10.56, SL^BDIVISION 16 (L) <br />FILE mi9 <br />WHEREAS, Alonzo B Seran, III (hereinafter "the applicant") is owner of the <br />property located at 4099 Highwood Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and <br />legally described as follows; <br />Lot 14, Highwood Lake Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the <br />property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for certain variances to allow <br />replacement of the existing residence structure on the property with a new residence structure, <br />including a variance to Section 10.24, Subdivision 5 (B) for existing lot area of 10,250 s.f. <br />where lot area of 43,560 s.f. is normally required, for existing lot width of 50’ where required <br />lot width is normally 140’, and for a proposed east side setback of 5.8’ where a 10’ side setback <br />is normally required; and a variance to Section 10.03, Subdivision 14 (C) to allow lot coverage <br />by structures of 18.4% where only 15% lot coverage is normally allowed; and a variance to <br />Sections 10.22, Subdivision 2 and 10.56, Subdivision 16 (L) to allow hardcover in 75-250’ zone <br />at a level of 49.3% where only 25% hardcover is normally allowed. <br />Minnesota; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1929. <br />2.The property is located within the LR-IB, Single Family Lakeshore Residential <br />Zoning District. <br />Page 1 of 6
