^ .-1. <br />MINUTES OF THE PIANNIIIG COMMlSSICNl MEBTIWS HBUD FEBRUARY 17, 1987 <br />COMPR]A;r^ISIVE PLAN A]T CONTINUED <br />Johnson felt that the area should be sewered and <br />that 1 and 2 acre mix is a good compromise. <br />Commission recommendation- Entire Area 4 be <br />included in the MUSA line and B-1 area be left as-is <br />until a specific proposal is submitted. <br />Chairman Kelley noted that he is opposed to Planning <br />Commission's recommendation and feels that Lots 3 and 4 <br />should be residential 2-acre lots with on-site septic <br />systems. <br />Addressing the trailways. Chairman Kelley felt it <br />important that a trail system be developed somewhere <br />between the schools into Long Lake off of Highway 12. <br />There were no other comments from the public and the <br />public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Chairman Kelley, seconded by Cohen, to <br />recommend approval of Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 2 <br />including the recommended modifications previously <br />stated. Motion, Ayes 6, Nays 0. <br />#1080 CITY OP OROHO <br />3750, 3820, 3830, & 3860 BATSIDB ROAD <br />REZONING <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth explained that at the last <br />meeting the former applicant, John McDowell, was advised <br />that the original rezoning application would have to be <br />modified to include only the areas of the various <br />properties within 1,000 feet of the shoreline of Lake <br />Minnetonka. The application was tabled in order to give <br />Mr. McDowell the additional time to review his position <br />and evaluate the effects on his future development. <br />Since that meeting Mr. McDowell has released all <br />interest in the current rezoning application as amended <br />by staff. Because of the beneifits to the City to <br />rezone this property, providing the needed environmental <br />controls i.e. hardcover etc., the City of Orono staff <br />recommends pursuing the application. She reviewed the <br />areas involved. <br />Rick Burger, 3750 Bavsi,de Ro^d. was ores^pl^ <br />his father, John Burger. He asked if there were any <br />scheduled plans for sewer in that area. <br />1 <br />Staff advised him that there are no definite plans for <br />sewer in that area. There is a study in progress to <br />determine if sewer is needed, and if so, the earliest it <br />would happen would be two years from now.
