He would be willing to allow the applicant to <br />increase to 25% which is the waxlnium allowed. <br />There were no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Planning Commissioner Cohen, seconded by <br />Planning Commissioner Hanson, to recommend approval of the <br />average lakeshore setback variance of approximately 1.5* and that <br />hardcover was to be retained at 2.5%. <br />Motion, Ayes=6, Nays*0, Motion passed. <br />#1452 MALTBK H. TO 8:11 P.M. <br />The Affidavit of Publication and Certificate of Mailing were <br />duly noted. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Pemberton were present for this matter. <br />Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Gaffron <br />explained the Pemberton's proposal to convert an existing grade <br />level deck into an addition to their dining room. <br />Chairman Kelley asked whether the Pemberton’s had received <br />any input from their neighbor to the south? <br />Mr. Pemberton said that he had spoken to his neighbors on <br />both sides and they had no objection. <br />Planning Commissioner Brown asked if there was existing <br />hardcover that could be removed? <br />There were no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />Planning Commissioner Brown reminded Mr. Pemberton that <br />during their recent visit he had indicated that he would be <br />removing hardcover from the back of the house. <br />Mr. Pemberton said that he would be willing to "punch holes <br />in the plastic that is presumed to be underlying the rockbed. <br />Gaffron said that staff prefers to have the plastic removed, <br />since hole punching is nearly impossible to verify. <br />It was moved by Planning Commissioner Hanson, seconded by <br />Planning Commissioner Cohen, to recommend approval of this <br />application provided that the plastic underlying the rockbed in <br />the northeast corner of the property is removed. Motion, Ayes=4, <br />Bellows and Kelley, Nay, due to their preference to see hardcover <br />removed rather than converted into permanent structure. Motion
