A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISION 2 <br />FILE NO. 2191 <br />WHEREAS, Walter R Wittmer and Sharon K Wittmer (hereinafter "the <br />applicants") are owners of the property located at 2780 Shadywood Road t\ithin the City of <br />Orono (hereinafter "the City") and legally described as follows: <br />Tract B, Registered Land Survey No 1196, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br />(hereinafter "the property"), and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10 22, Subdivision 2 to permit construction of a 12' x 24’ two level single <br />stall garage addition at the iiorthwest.cprn«;^^|be.:resM^.e:/e5i^U^ <br />hardcover within the 75-250' setback area where the code would allow 25%; hardcover exists <br />at 4,995 s.f or 31.4%. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. <br />2, <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2191. <br />The property is located in the LR-IB, Single Family Lakeshore Residential <br />Zoning District requiring one acre in area. <br />The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on November 18, <br />1996 and recommended unanimous approval of the variance as proposed based <br />upon the following unique findings and hardships: <br />Structural coverage is proposed at 9% where the code would allow 15% <br />B No other variances are required for this improvement. <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />oOOR ORIGINAL DOCUMENT
