Miscellaneous Administrative Activities ('cont.V <br />2. By helping department managers understand the budgetary impact of their decisions <br />and designing reports and other information that will assist managers with financial decision­ <br />making. <br />3. By attending seminars, reading publications, participating in professional associations, <br />and otherwise being aware of current or pending legislation regarding the administration of the <br />assigned department and appropriate regulations regarding utility accounting, payroll, and other <br />finance activities of the position. <br />4. By serving on committees, task forces, or attending business meetings of importance <br />to the assigned department and appropriate finance department activities. <br />5. Identify tasks/projects and assist departmental leaders with scheduling and W'ork <br />assignments that ensure completion of the task/ project. <br />6. Provide necessary purchasing support to maintain necessary l.iventories of materials, <br />supplies, and equipment. Conduct periodic inventories to ensure maintenance of nece.s.sar>' <br />inventory levels. <br />7. Provide for necessary security and maintenance of facilities and equipment by <br />scheduling repair services, describing malfunctions, and performing routine maintenance and <br />minor repairs. <br />S. Provide support in the area of employee training, including selecting or developing <br />appropriate lesson plans, training aids, or operating procedures. Maintain records of training <br />sessions attended by departmental employees. <br />9. Gathering, computing and entering new meter readings. <br />4. Advising homeowners of unusual water consumption. <br />5. Preparing, calculating, and sending utility billings.
