^C:Request for Council Action continued <br />’‘"^ch'^^996 <br />Zoning File #2063 __________ <br />Tte applicants agreed to remove landscape area underlain with plastic to the northeast side of the <br />residence. Refer to Exhibit D-2, 660 s.f. of hardcover would be removed out of the County right- <br />of-way but ha^ no impact on hardcover facts within the 75-250’ setback area. The area is <br />maintained as applicants' yard and if plastic is removed, the area would be available for greater <br />absorption of runoff. The applicants also advised that the landscape area to the immediate west <br />of the house was not underlain with plastic. Staff has asked Gafffon to confirm his findings at the <br />time of his inspection of the landscape area. He has reconfirmed that he found plastic beneath the <br />landscape areas so hardcover remains as originally determined at 838 s.f. within the 75-250 <br />setback area. <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br />The Planning Commission recommended unanimous approval of the variance application as <br />proposed subject to the following conditions: <br />1.Applicants shall remove approximately 660 s.f. of plastic underliner within the <br />right-of-way as shown on Exhibit D-2. <br />2. If applicants propose installation of berm within County right-of-way applicants <br />must first obtain permit from County Department of Transportation. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />To either adopt or amend the enclosed approval resolution. <br />Applicants have advised that they are not able to attend the Council meeting of March 25th but <br />have advised that their contractor Daryl Carlson will attend in their place. <br />1 <br />1
