Dr. Mich infomed the Board of the process that is followed when <br />school is closed due to incleaent weather and also that in addition <br />to WCCO radio« the District will also be providing notices on KSTP <br />Channel 5 as an additional source of notification to parents <br />regarding school closings. <br />Dr. Mich reported that on the Consent Agenda this evening, the <br />Board had approved the continued eeployinont of Sara Engel to the <br />Intermediate District #287 Learning Center, and accepted <br />resignations from Bev Ebbeche, Schumann Elementary teacher, and Tim <br />Moynihan, boys tennis team coach; that the group of citizens <br />voricing on the ice arena will be meeting with Neal and himself on <br />January 24 at 4;00 p.m. and Board members are welcome to attend; <br />that on January 26 the Recognition Luncheon will be held and Board <br />members are invited to attend; that on February 1 at 7:30 p.m. <br />there will be a meeting held for legislative purposes in Room 103 <br />of the high school; that he would be conducting a Peer Review class <br />on February 5 and 6 and that Board members are welcome to stop by; <br />that Pat Jones, Peg Swanson and he had provided a presentation at <br />the MSBA Convention in Minneapolis on assessing staff development <br />programs; that Peg Swanson was elected by MSBA membership to serve <br />as their vice president and he expressed congratulations to Ms. <br />Swanson. <br />Mr. Kent Johnson of Ehlers and Associates presented to the Board <br />the bids that were received for the purchase of the Tax <br />Anticipation Certificates and recommended that the Board accept the <br />low bid of A. H. Williams & Company, Inc. <br />Member Bob Hoerr introduced the following resolution, moved to <br />waive the reading of the resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND AWARDING THE SALE OF CERTIFICATES <br />ON FILE IN DISTRICT OFFICE <br />L.
