MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION <br />OF ORONO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 278 <br />HELD ON JANUARY 23, 1996 <br />The regular neetlng of the Board of Education of Orono Independent <br />School District No. 278 was held on January 23, 1996. <br />Present: Martha Van de Ven Pasela Schroeder Thomas Mich <br />Peg Swanson Jack Veach Neal Lawson <br />Absent: John Maresh <br />Board member Bob Hoerr arrived while the meeting was in progress. <br />UPON MOTION by Pamela Schroeder, seconded by Jack Veach, the <br />consent agenda was approved as follows: <br />approved the minutes of the January 9, 1996 <br />regular meeting; <br />accepted the resignation of Beverly L. Ebbecke, Schximann <br />Elementary teacher, effective at the end of her 1995-96 <br />contract; <br />accepted the resignation of Tim Moynihan as head tennis <br />coach for the boys tennis team, effective January 23, <br />1996; <br />approved the request of Sara Engel to continue her <br />special assignment to the Ridgedale Alternative Program, <br />operated by Intermediate School District #287 for the <br />1996-97 school year; <br />approved the request of Heidi Mohagen, elementary school <br />teacher, for a child care leave for the 1996-97 school <br />year; <br />accepted donations from the following: <br />Cheryl Karakash: <br />several computer education programs for the <br />the Apple HE and Apple GS computer <br />Maple Plain Lions: <br />$200.00 to the Athletic Department to be used <br />as needed <br />Kathleen Schneibel: <br />weight room equipment <br />approved the Activity Fund Report for the Second Quarter, <br />1995; <br />approved the bills as covered by vouchers 090891 <br />through 091149 and office checks as covered by vouchers <br />5410 through 5488. <br />Motion carried. Board members Maresh and Hoerr absent. <br />J
