Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section; <br />Engineer's Report <br />Item Description: Request to Advertise for Bids Sewer and Water Projects <br />Plans and specifications have been completed for the North long Lake/ Long Lake Country Club <br />sewer, Orono Ice Arena sewer and water, and Lift Station rehabilitation projects. These three <br />projects will be bid under one contract in order to obtain more favorable bids for this larger <br />combined project. <br />The bid opening is scheduled for Wednesday April 23 at 11:00 A.M. An assessment hearing will <br />be held for the Long Lake sewer and Ice Arena sewer and water projects at the April 28th City <br />Council meeting. The bids will be held until after the 30 day assessment appeal period is <br />completed. A contract for the project can then be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder at the <br />June 9th City Council meeting with an anticipated construction start date in early July. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED; <br />Approval of the attached resolution approving the plans and specifications and ordering <br />advertisement for bids. <br />\
