The lift station if initially built on a Bay Ridge lot would <br />potentially have to be relocated to serve Hartwood in the future, and those relocation costs would <br />be borne by the Hartwood residents. Allocation of initial trunk costs is also affected if Hartwood <br />is not provided with useful trunk service as part of the original project. <br />The issue of whether to install the force main and lift station as currently proposed on the Boni <br />property, needs to be resolved before final plans and specifications can be completed. Staff believes <br />the lift station should be located where the Hartwood area can be served without a future relocation <br />of the lift station. The City engineer will determine the extent of the impacts of the project on the <br />Boni property prior to the meeting. <br />Stan* Recommendation <br />Following the March 10 hearings, Council may adopt the attached resolutions ordering preparation <br />of plans and specifications.
