DEC-19-1996 12:11 CITY OF L01«3 LhKE 612 476 9622 P.ll <br />12a. It is understood that the City is requesting the replacement of the Luce Line <br />Trail bridge over “old highway 12'*. The State will fund the replacement of this <br />bridge, either as a part of a state project or as a part of the turn back reconstruction <br />project. <br />12b. It is understood that the City is requesting the State to construct pedestrian <br />walkways along Long Lake Creek and near Holbrook Park, including pedestrian <br />ove^asses or underpasses that would permit pedestrian cross-over access between <br />the north and south portions of Long Lake. The State will pursue the construction <br />of new sidewalks and trails to mitigate for reductions in pedestrian and bicycle <br />access caused by the proposed construction. Furthermore, the State may construct <br />new sidewalks and trails as part of mitigation for parkland (4f) impacts. Trails and <br />sidewalks will be designed to the extent possible to coordinate with the City ’s trail <br />way, sidewalk and pedestrian traffic plans as depicted in the City ’s Revised 1996 <br />Compreheni.ive Plan, or later amendments occuring before construction limits <br />necessary for right-of-way acquisition are developed It is understood that the State <br />will provide the city with the opportunity to review construction limits before <br />proceeding significantly beyond that point with detail design. It is understood that a <br />complete trail system plan is not in place at this point in time.
