A RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT OF THE <br />WEST HENNEPIN RECYCLING COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS^ the cities of Greenfield, Independence, Long Lake, Loretto, Maple <br />Plain, Medina, and Orono entered into a Joint Powers Agreement under the authority of Minnesota <br />Statute 471.59 in order to create the West Hennepin Recycling Commission for the purpose of <br />establishing, administering, and operating a curbside recycling program in each of the member <br />cities; and <br />WHEREAS, the West Hennepin Recycling Commission has recommended extension <br />of the Joint Powers Agreement as revised in October, 1995 through 2002. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Orono, Minnesota that the Joint Powers Agreement of the West Hennepin Recycling Commission <br />be approved and extended through December 31, 2002. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting <br />held this 8th day of November, 1999. <br />Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
