Making the appointment to this position will bring the Zoning and Planning staffing level <br />to full strength. The top candidate for the position is Kristine Jensen. Kristine is a native of <br />Minnesota with advanced degree coursework in Urban Planning from Mankato State University. <br />Kristine has two years of experience as a planner in the City of Matteson, Illinois, a small community <br />that is struggling to preserve its small-town character in the midst of booming development in <br />surrounding suburbs. It is recommended Kristine Jensen be appointed to the position of Assistant <br />Zoning Administrator/ Planner I at the Level 6, Step 2 salary of $32,629.00, effective Tuesday, June <br />15,1999. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve the appointment of Kristine Jensen to the position of Assistant Zoning <br />.A.dministrator.^lanner I at the Level 6, Step 2 salary of $32,629.00, effective Tuesday.
