A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF A <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER TO SERVE THE <br />FOX RIDGE AREA <br />WHEREAS, the project area was included in the recent MUSA expansion for sanitary sewer <br />services, a neighborhood informational meeting was held to discuss the project, and project area <br />residents have submitted a letter indicating interest in obtaining sanitary sewer; and <br />WHEREAS, the City En^eer has provided preliminary cost estimates for a sanitary sewer <br />extension; however, additional information is needed in order to establish the feasibility of such a <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed that municipal sanitary sewer trunks and/or laterals be <br />constructed to serve the Fox ^dge area and that the benefitted property(s) be assessed for all of the <br />cost of the imp»'ovsments pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota that <br />the proposed improvements be referred to the City Engineer for study, and that he is instructed to <br />report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to <br />whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost effective, and feasible and whether it should <br />best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement and the estimated cost of <br />the improvement as recommended. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono this 14th day of June, 1999. <br />ATTEST:Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />Linda S.
