Johnson - PERA Resolution <br />Attachment: Resolution declaring that the part-time position held by Jeffrey D. Johnson <br />is that of a police officer. <br />On March 22, 1999, Council authorized the police chief to change the position of Jeffrey <br />D. Johnson from a full-time CSO to a part-time police officer, starting at an hourly rate of <br />$12.62. The change was to be effective when the new full-time CSO was trained, which <br />has been accomplished. The starting date for Jeff as a part-time officer is April 19,1999. <br />As the City intends that its part-time officers be included in the police and fire fund of <br />PERA we are required to adopt a resolution to that effect. I have included a copy of the <br />standard resolution for your review. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to appoint Jeffrey D. Johnson to the position of part-time police officer, effective <br />April 19, 1999, at a starting rate of $12.62 per hour; and to adopt the attached resolution <br />establishing his eligibility for coverage in the PERA Police and Fire Fund. <br />Y
