The applicants intend to retain the existing garage located on Birch Lane at the rear of the lot. <br />Typically the zoning code does not allow any accessory structures to remain on a lot without a <br />principal building. To meet the Plamiing Commission recommendation the applicants have prepared <br />a site plan reducing the size of the garage from 30' x 22' to 20' by 22'. <br />This application requires the following variances: <br />1. Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 and Section 10.56, Subdivision 16 (L)(2): To allow 2,012 s.f. <br />(30.2%) of hardcover in the 75-250' lakeshore setback, where 2,965 s.f. (45%) exists and <br />1,663.5 s.f. (25%) is allowed, and to allow 344 s.f. (46.3%) of hardcover in the 250-500' <br />lakeshore setback, where 670 s.f.
