m <br />RECREATION AGREEMENT OF <br />ORONO AREA SPORTS ALLIANCE <br />ARTICLE I. <br />The parties to this Agreement are Independent School District No. 278 (Orono <br />School District (including Orono Community Education Sports)), Orono Baseball <br />Association, a non-profit organization, Orono Softball Association, a non-profit <br />organization, Orono Community Soccer, a non-profit organization. Thunder Soccer, a <br />non-profit organization, Orono Youth Football, a non-profit organization, Orono Hockey <br />Boosters, a non-profit organization, the Park District of Long Lake, the Park District of <br />Orono, the Park District of Maple Plain, the Park District of Medina, the Park District of <br />Minnetonka Beach and the Park District of Independence. This Agreement is made <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 471.15, et seq. <br />ARTICLE n. NAME <br />The name of the organization created by this Agreement is the Orono Area Sports <br />Alliance (hereinafter “the Alliance”). <br />ARTICLE III. GENERAL PURPOSE <br />Section 3.1 The parties have formed this Agreement for the purpose of providing <br />an organization to accomplish the following: <br />(a)To establish a means to facilitate the organized and coordinated <br />dissemination of youth sports information to the public; <br />(b)To promote high quality youth athletic programs by encouraging <br />community youth athletic programs to adopt a common set of <br />standards for youth sports; <br />• • <br />(c)To encourage youth athletic programs to strive to achieve the <br />National Standards for Youth Sports as outlined by the National <br />Youth Sports Association. <br />J
