A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.24. SUBDIVISION 5(B), <br />FILE NO. 2613 <br />WHEREAS, James R. Renckens and Debra A. Renckens, (hereinafter "the <br />applicants") are the owners of the property located at 3020 Watertown Road within the City of Orono <br />(hereinafter "the City") and legally described as follows: <br />That part of the South 1170 feet, as measured along the west line thereof, of the West <br />Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 118, Range 23 West of the <br />5*** Principal Meridian, lying east of the West 869 feet, thereof, as measured along the <br />south line thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 9 (D) to allow placement of an accessory structure between <br />the principal building and the front lot line where no accessory structures are normally allowed. <br />WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br />Commission held a public hearing on September 18,2000, at which time all persons desiring to be <br />heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br />Minnesota: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2613. <br />This property is located in the RR-IB, Single Family Rural Residential Zoning <br />District. <br />The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on September 18,2000 <br />and recommended approval by a vote of 7 to 0. <br />Page 1 of5
