MINI TKS OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Tuesday, February 19, 2002 <br />6:30 o’clock p.m. <br />Haw n staied the Applicants in her \ icw ha\ c done a tairl\ good job at designing the house and garage <br />given the fact that the\ were unaware of the sewer line <br />Kluth commented they were also faced with the laws being changed Klulh noted the\ are doing <br />wetland m.'.igation Kluth stated he has a problem with consmictmg the driveway in its present <br />location <br />Carter stated they will avoid constructing the dri\ewa> over the lift station <br />Mabusth noted the Planning Commission docs not have a copy of the wetland delineation, and inquired <br />w hat ty pe of a wetland is on this property <br />Weinberger stated it is a Ty pe 3 <br />Mabusth commented it would be nice if the City could give a little leeway on the 1.^ feet from the sewer <br />line to tire residence <br />Weinberger stated Staff can review that prior to this application going to Couned <br />Fritzicr staied in Ins v levv the garage should be located a little closer to the house, vvitli onlv one curb cut <br />m <br />being allowed <br />Klulh agreed with Frit/ler <br />Rahil inquired how the garage would be supported in the wetlands <br />Peterson stated there would be pilings in the wetlands <br />Rahn commented he personally feels the land alteration on this site is excessive and that .t was designed <br />to the old standards <br />Mabusth nu|uircd vvliciher a preliminary grading plan has been completed <br />Weinberger stated the area where the fill will be placed will raise the bidding pad for the garage and a <br />portion of the house by approximately two feet <br />Mabusth stated information relating ;o drainage and grading should be available prior to this application <br />going to tlie Council Mabusth stated the Applicant would need to work with Staff to insure that these <br />PAGE 15
