Jacobs, Building Inspector <br />DATE:March 19, 1979 <br />SUBJECT: Change of Occupancy - Peace Lutheran Church <br />850 Wayzata Boulevard <br />To bring the building up to code, the following improvements must <br />be completed; <br />1, Exit signs must be illuminated SBC/UBC Section 3312(a), <br />2, Main exit for Narthex has frost heaving - must be repaired <br />as it is a required exit SBC/UBC Section 3302, <br />3. Firedoor with closer required on Furnace Room SBC/UBC Section 8C8. <br />4, Exit sign (Illuminated) needed on exit out of Narthex <br />SBC/UBC Section 3312(b), <br />5, Storeroom must have one-hour fire protection - there are openings <br />at the top of wall SBC/UBC Section 802, <br />6, Must have firedoor with closer on Storeroom SBC/UBC 802(d), <br />7, <br />8, <br />One-hour firewall with firedoors must be provided between kitchen <br />and sleeping area. Kitchen is a B-2 occupancy while all other <br />parts of the building used for the Day Care are considered a E-1 <br />occupancy - SBC/UBC Table 5A for Occupancy Types & SBC/UBC Table 5B <br />for Required Separations in Buildings of Mixed Occupancy, <br />Ventilation fan ducts enter the storeroom only - duct must continue <br />into habitable space where air cannot be contaminated by any means <br />other than human occupancy SBC Section 7706(s),
