« • t r « <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF INTENT REGARDING PERMITTED <br />DEVELOPMENT OF STUBBS BAY MARINA PROPER'FY T- - <br />one and the on-site <br />A major area of concern <br />mmend that the City <br />ive waste control study, <br />al new developments <br />oject. <br />ion of a revised <br />I in stu^-r. <br />md institution of <br />:he EPA and PGA <br />»nt including <br />igineerxng. <br />ruction (except additions) <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono has adopted <br />Ordinance No. 219 establishing a Moratorium on development in the <br />Stubbs Bay Area of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, as a part of the study undertaken to accomplish <br />the purpose of said Moratorium, the City has undertaken a spec^l <br />study of the past use and proposed development of property kno <br />as Stubbs Bay Marina; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has assembled reports and <br />researched the Stubbs Bay Marina Property extensively over the pas <br />several years, particularly over the past weeks since the Moratorium <br />warLtabllsh^d! and the City Council has duly considered the recoimien- <br />datlons of staff, consultants and the general public as documented in <br />the record of a Public Hearing called for this purpose on <br />February 27, 1979; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono hereby determines that the subject property is not <br />suitable for commercial marina use of the magnitude proposed by <br />George Johnson in his request for 66 slips, and that the i y oun <br />intends to undertake the following action in response to this <br />determination: <br />1.
