Vote; Ayes (7), Nays <br />(0). <br />Judd Ringer, Conrad Schmidt, and Pat Meyers re <br />presenting the staff of Parkview were present. <br />Mabusth noted the affidavit of publication and <br />the certificate of mailing. <br />JUDD RINGER <br />2280 Wayzata Blvd. <br />Subdivision <br />#595 <br />Ringer reviewed the application for those who <br />were in attendance. He wishes to divide his 57 <br />acre parcel into 2 lots, the one 28 acres lot is <br />to be used by the Parkview Corporation as a 24- <br />bed in-patient treatment center. <br />8:25 - 9:40 p.m. <br />The following residents and interested parties <br />were present to address the application; <br />Wendy Sarles of 15 Westwood Drive; George Johnson <br />of 879 North Brown Rd.; Chuch Peterson of 277 <br />Westonka Drive; Bill Hutchions of 900 Willow Driver- <br />Bill Wear of 2160 Willow Drive; Pat Mastny of 61 <br />Brown Rd.; Bernie Cox of 1020 W. Willow Driver- <br />Marge Humphry, Peggy Tutle, Jo and Alan Hur, <br />Sally Murphy, Fred Herfurth, Bonnie Hallson, and <br />Mr. and Mrs. Phil Fettig of 960 Willow Drive.'It ; <br />The following questions were raised by the audience: <br />What would the Orono School's responsibility be in <br />regard to supplying educational needs for patients? <br />Who would pay for the cost of treatment? <br />Will the patients be coming from the inner city of <br />specifically the western suburbs? <br />Would the center use the Dickey Lake at some future <br />date? <br />Increase in traffic will cause serious problems for <br />an already overburdened traffic intersection? <br />What kinds of security will the institution use to <br />control the coming and goings of the adolescent <br />patients? <br />How many staff people do they plan to have at the <br />facility specifically at night? <br />Many questioned the type of treatment used in Parkview's <br />treatment of patients specifically the verbal abuse <br />expressed by some present. <br />Some questioned the pollution of the lake to the north <br />as a result of no sewer and the size of the proposed <br />facility. <br />i <br />I
