Mr. Jc^mson advised Planning Comnission that the <br />vjtee owner of Parcel 8200, with whom he had a purchase agreement, <br />was also the fee owner of adjacent, developed Parcel 8000 and <br />had been owner of both lots in common prior to 1967. <br />After some discussion, Hosfield moved, Pesek seconded, to <br />recommend denial on the basis that it is unbuildable, was in <br />conmon ownership with Parcel 8000, adjustment on Parcel 8200 <br />be made as necessaiy. Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />Mr. Nicholson was present. He is requesting a lot area and <br />width variance for his proposed addition. Motion - <br />Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />A1 Olson stated that Christy Realty is requesting approval <br />to move existing sign over to the new building previously <br />occupied by Keaveny Drug. New sign would be put on the <br />^existing pylon. The proposed sign would extend over the <br />^)dge of ^e rijht-of-way when erected on existing pylon. <br />Walsh of F.quity Construction was present. He stated <br />they would sign a written agreement to move the pylon and <br />sign at their own expense should the County ever request <br />moving the i.igki f?jrther from the road. <br />After^a brief discussion,-Pesdc moired,-Flos field seconded^'^^ <br />to reconmend approval of the sign location with the <br />condition that the owner of the sign and Jot agree to <br />move the si^i and-pylon at their esqpense at which time ~~ <br />the County or City would request moving the sign farther <br />from the road. Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). <br />Mr. Keaveny was present. He is requesting approval to <br />utilize existing sign previcxisly used by Super Valu. He <br />is not increasing the sign area, but it would exceed the <br />maximun 100 ft. permitted in this zone. Planning <br />C(]innission felt new sign would be iirprovement. <br />6 <br />(kithiie moved, McDonald seconded, to reconmend approval <br />of the sign area variance due to the existing building <br />design and the i^rovement in appearance from the pre­ <br />vious sign existing at this location.
