m <br />MIMjreS OF A PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 7, 1976 - PAGE 3 <br />Don Ma&s, President of the Park Gun Club, was present and <br />apologized for not having a representative at the August 16, <br />1976, meeting. Also present were Mr. § Mrs. Grandstand and <br />Howard Soost. Mr. Maas stated that the days of operation <br />during the week had been Tuesday and Thursday. This year, <br />however, they added VXednesday to allow more hours of shooting <br />for their 150-200 members. They are also open some Sundays <br />for organi.zed shoots from 1-5 p.m. League shooting is <br />finished for this year, but there are a few special turkey <br />shoots scheduled for later this year. <br />Da^oU was also present and expressed his dissatisfac <br />tion with the hours and days of operation and the amount of <br />noise resulting from this shooting. He felt that the activity <br />at the Park On Club had increased this year with more days <br />of shooting and longer hours. <br />Mr. Grandstand stated that the Park Gun Club has been at its <br />present location since 1951. He understands Mr. Daniel’s <br />conplaint, but feels that only one complaint in 25 year is a good record. <br />Van Nest moved, Hannah seconded, to table this application <br />to allow the Park Gun Club to sumbit in writing a proposal <br />^dicatmg t^eir schedule of days and hours for the next <br />12 Hicnths and any potential things liiat could be done to <br />O problems, such as developing some type of^ buffer. Motion - Ayes (7), Nays (0). <br />rc()uirement. Motion - Ayes C^)» Nays (0). <br />seconded, to recomnend approval on the condition that <br />j ^ ^ diameter asreconroended by the ENR and MCWD, and that the appi irant <br />get the approval of the ENR and other agencies before <br />continuing this project. Motion - Ayes (7), Nay‘; CO) <br />Jfr. Johnson was present and stated to the Commission that <br />reitewal of a variance that was approved <br />^ 197.. which was subject to the approval of the Village <br />Engineer. f4r.
