WHEREAS, by utilizing odd-altcmates, the Joint Coniwiittce is cany ing out its fiduciary' <br />responsibility by building flexibility Into the bidding and final decision process in a way that <br />does not lock the cities into high costs, but enables decisions to be made regarding the ^d« <br />alternate items on the most ad\*antageous flnaiKial terms. <br />NOW THEREFORE^ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF ORONO, MINNESOTA THAT: <br />It is supportive of the work of the Joint Fire Station Construction Committee, particularly, <br />the development of the schematic design plan for the new Fire Station presented at the Nov'ember <br />20, 2001, joint City Council meeting including the use of add-aitemates. The ConstnKtion <br />Committee, through its consulumts, will continue to wt)rk with the Volunteer Fire Department and <br />solicit their input into the design and construction of the new station. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono this 10th day of December, 2001. <br />Barbara A.
