The following table shows <br />representation in Orono: <br />District Prior to 2000 Following <br />Redistricting <br />Federal Congressional District 3 3 <br />State Senate Districts <br />Precincts 1, 3,4 34 33 <br />Precinct 2 43 33 <br />State House Districts <br />Precincts 1,3,4 34B 33B <br />Precinct 2 43A 33B <br />Redistricting of Precincts <br />As part of the redistricting process, each city is required to adopt a resolution to either reestablish <br />or redistrict precinct boundaries. The following criteria were considered during the review process <br />to determine if any precinct changes were necessary: <br />1.Cannot be divided by an elective district boundary (except school districts) such as <br />Wards, Legislative or Congressional districts. <br />2. Strongly encouraged to follow school district boundaries where possible. <br />A
