Officer Carlson and other responding officers used a defibrillator and <br />administered cardio-pulmonary resusitation until an ambulance arrived, saving the life of Mrs. <br />Alice Brown. On 12/25/2000, the family of Lawrence and Alice Brown of Golden Valley sent a <br />letter of thanks and a cash donation which was designated “to be used a$ your organization sees <br />fit, possibly for the purchase of a deribrillator”. <br />On 2/25/02, the Police Department received a donation in the amount of $1,000 from the family <br />of Lawrence and Alice Brown of Golden Valley, again with a note thanking Officer Carlson. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve resolution to recognize the life saving efforts of part time Police Officer Mike <br />Carlson, to accept the donation listed above, and to express the City’s appreciation and gratitude <br />for the donation.
