r. <br />A RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE LIFESAVING EFFORTS <br />OF OFFICER MIKE CARLSON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is supportive of all of its police officers, support <br />staff, and supervisory staff in providing the highest quality police services; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 25,2000, Officer Mike Carlson responded to a cardiac <br />arrest at the Culvers Restaurant and administered Cardiac Pulmonary Resusitaiion (CPR), <br />thereby saving a life; and <br />WHEREAS, the family of Alice and Lawrence Brown of Golden Valley wish to <br />extend gratitude for the expert training and successful actions of Mike Carlson and other officers <br />of the Orono Police Department; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono City Council as follows: <br />1. The City Council hereby recognizes Officer Mike Carlson for his successful lifesaving <br />efforts on November 25,2000. <br />2. The City Council hereby accept the donation on behalf of the police department and <br />express the City’s appreciation and gratitude for the donation. <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
