12. <br />Term of this Agreement <br />This Agreement covers the penod Jul> 1 2003 through December 31,2006, the <br />termination date of this agreement. <br />On Jaiiuary 1,2007, E.xcelsior Fire District will transfer full control of facilities, <br />apparatus, equipment, and personnel to the Fire Agency directed in writing by the City of <br />Orono. <br />Consulting services, code enforcement, and recruitment services shall begin July 1,2003 <br />F’-V Protection and Medical Rescue response shall begin January 1,2004. <br />This Agreement will become effective upon ratification by the City of Orono and <br />Excelsior Fire District Board. <br />11. Dispute Resolution <br />Should either party of this agreement believe that a misrepresentation or a violation of ihe <br />specific terms and conditions of the Agreement exist, either party may initiate the dispute <br />resolution process by submitting to the other party a written statement outlining the <br />dispute or disagreement. This written statement of dispute shall be fonvarded to either <br />the Excelsior Fire District Board or the City of Orono City Council for the next meeting. <br />If the dispute is not resolved within 90 days of the written complaint, the Excelsior Fire <br />District Board or the City of Orono shall forward the dispute to an appropriate mediation <br />service.
