If an Orono Animal Control Officer is on duty, even thouyh not <br />i;Htiolling in ItXCELSlOR, said officer will respond. If deemed appropriate by the Orono <br />officer on call, a situation may be dealt with over the phone <br />ORONO agrees to coordinale services with the Paws, Claws, aiui Hooves, 10500 Great Plains <br />Boulevard, Chaska, MN, 55318, wh.ch w.ll serve as the impound facility, as long as this <br />arrangement is agreeable with Paws, Clr.w% and Hooves l'XCEl.S10R agrees to be billed <br />directly by Paws, Claws and Hooves, and to pay for impound, boarding, euthanasia, disposal, <br />or any other veterinary fee as charged by the impound facility. When requested, the Animal <br />Control Officer will review these bills to determine if the charges .ippear proper. <br />7. ORONO shall furnish monthly reports to liXCLLSlOR reflecting the charges for animal <br />control .services, which each city agrees to pay ORONO within 30 days of beir.g billed. <br />8. When an animal is impounded pursuant to this animal control contract, said animal shall be <br />held in accordance with Minnesota Statute 35.71. In the event that an impounded annual is <br />unclaimed, the animal becomes the sole responsibility of Paws, Claws aiul Hooves to be <br />placed or disposed of at their discretion. <br />9. ORONO shall maintain reports on Orono fomis, or utilize specific fonns as requested by <br />liXCLLSlOR. A monthly leiiorl of activity shall be provided to I’XCEL.SIOR. <br />10. The City of ORONO will indemnify and hold hannless EXCnL.SIOR for claims, suits, actions, <br />damages and loss arising out of the negligence or misconduct of the City of ORONO in <br />conjunction with this agreement. <br />1 1 . UXCHLSIOR agrees to pay ORONO for sen ices in the performance of thi.s contract, pin suant <br />to Paragraph 1 5 of tins contract, as follows; <br />A) Annual Fee for patrol and emergency pick-ups.........................S8,039.09 <br />B) Price per deceased animal disposed of by the <br />City of ORONO..........................................550.00 <br />It is agieed that if flie designated boarding facility or cuthanasia/disposal seiwice is <br />unavailable, EXCELSIOR shall authorize ORONO to obtain these setviccs elsewhere, <br />and E.XCELSIOR shall pay OKONO the rates of tin* alternative facility.
