This agreement shall be effective as of Jauuaiy 1. 2005 ami shall tontiimc in effect until <br />December 31,2005 unless cancelled pursuant to this agreement. <br />2. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />ORON(3 agrees to patrol the public streets of EXC'HLSIOR, in accordance with a schedule <br />provided by ORONO, agreed upon by HXCLLSIOR. If necessary, ORONO agrees to tiansport <br />animals as it deems appropriate. ORONO will, at the completion ol each regular patiol or ,is <br />soon as reasonably possible, in the City of l-XCl* LSIOR, give a written statement to the South <br />Lake Minnetonka 1‘ublic Safety Dcp.irtmcnt setting fr ith a de.scription ol all annuals <br />impounded including breeil, colrrr, weight, name ol owne.', name of animal, it known, aiul <br />point of collection by the patrol ollker. ORONO w ill also attempt to notify South Lake <br />Minnetonka Public Safety Department prior to impounding any animal. <br />3. ORONO agrees to provide personnel and erjmpmeut to piovide animal control services. Sriid <br />employees shall pei fomr their duties in proper altiie, utili/mg a m.uked Orono Public Safety <br />vehicle whenever available. These em|)loyees shall be m unilorm or have City ol Orono <br />identification. <br />liXCP.LSIOR shall authorize ORONO to appichend and letam riomestic animals aiul/or issue <br />citations or warnings for violations of city oidinaiices. Wild aiumals shall only be dealt with <br />pursuant to ORONO'S policy legaidmg wild animals if the animal is presenting dangers of <br />personal injury or significant property damag.e. However, ORON(3 shall not invade private <br />property contrary to the wishes of the owner of .said property, nor Ibicibly lake an .iniiual liom <br />any person w ithout the .ipproval and a.ssKstance of a peace officer having jurisdiction in that <br />city <br />ORONO aj-recs to patrol the punlic streets of L .XC'IT SIOR and respond to animal control calls <br />in PXCLl.SlOR. Orono shall also conduct annual kennel and stable inspections. These sh.ill <br />be scheduled dm mg regular p.ilrtil hours m P.vcelsim. Oiono w ill provide an avciage of 22 <br />hours pci week of animal control scr\icc to the four participating cities <br />111 aildition to regular patrol, ORONO agrees to respond to "emergency call outs" lioin <br />L.XCLLSIOR. ORONO w ill have an officer scheduled to respond to such call outs. ORONO <br />shall respond at the earliest opportunity to such requests, including bile cases or iujuial <br />animals, as deemed appropriate by ORONO. I hcie may be occasions when an animal contiol <br />olficcr will not be immediately available, in w hicli event the response w ill occur at the eailicst <br />opportunity.
